Today’s game between the Mets and Cardinals have been postponed. The two sides waited things out for close to three hours before the game was finally called a little before 4:00pm Eastern. The teams will play a make-up game on Monday, August 5 at 5:15pm Eastern/4:15pm Central.
The postponement is not surprising given the weather situation currently taking place in the midwest. Around the time of the game, the forecast called for “tennis-ball-sized hail,” and a tornado was possible in the area. Fans at the stadium were even asked to seek shelter indoors during the delay.
