Mets call up Patrick Mazeika, option Brandon Drury to Triple-A

The Mets made a number of roster moves prior to tonight’s game against the Atlanta Braves. The team recalled Patrick Mazeika from Triple-A and made room for him by optioning Brandon Drury to Syracuse. Zack Scott originally made it sound like Michael Conforto would be activated for tonight’s game, but that did not turn out to be the case.

Mazeika’s return could signal a future IL stint for Tomás Nido, who was hit on the wrist during the first game on Monday’s doubleheader, looked visibly uncomfortable while rounding the bases, and eventually exited the game.
