The Mets have officially called up right-hander Christian Scott, who will make the start tonight against the Nationals. To make room on the roster for Scott, the team designated reliever Matt Festa for assignment.
Scott has been solid in his five major league starts this year, but was sent down on May 30 as a result of the team’s sporadic schedule at the start of June. The goal was to continue getting Scott regular work at the Triple-A level. When he did pitch for the Mets this year, the rookie hurler posted a 3.
