The Mets came limping home from a 2-6 road trip, which was punctuated by a sweep at the hands of the Guardians in Cleveland. If there is to be any hope or spark in a season that is quickly starting to feel desultory, it will likely come from any development from the younger Mets , such as Christian Scott.
The young right hander certainly did his part on Friday evening to help the Mets get back on track. After surrendering single runs in the second and third innings to wipe out an early 1-0 lead, Scott settled in, retiring the final 12 batters he faced from the third through sixth innings.
