The Mets’ offense put in a Tom Glavine-like performance and didn’t show up with their season hanging by a thread in the team’s 6-0 loss to the Brewers.
For the third game in a row this looked very much like a team pressing which led to their third straight loss. As much as this team looked great against the Phillies with their confidence riding high this is now a team that is self-defeating and repeating the failings of all the doomed September teams that came before them.
José Quintana got the start and looked very good.
