If the Mets lineup’s June swoon seems familiar, so will their first quick fix on the trade market.
The Mets reached a deal Wednesday to acquire infielder Kelly Johnson from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for minor league reliever Akeel Morris.
It’s the second time in 11 months the Mets have added Johnson from the Braves. He came aboard last July along with Juan Uribe to bolster the Mets bench, and hit .250 with five homers in 49 games as they surged to the NL East title.
In addition to his natural position of second base, Johnson can play first or third base, and can help make up for the losses of Lucas Duda and David Wright.
