PORT ST. LUCIE - Shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera thinks he will be ready for Opening Day.
"I think so, yes," Cabrera said of being ready for the April 3 opener in Kansas City. "The knee feels good."
Despite saying he had been shut down completely for two weeks after being diagnosed with a strained patella tendon in his left knee, Terry Collins said Thursday he felt well enough to begin riding a stationary bike.
"He’s riding the bike and hopefully he starts to do some more stuff, maybe play catch and go in the cages and start tracking pitches,” the Mets manager said.
