Mets are reportedly calling up RHP Corey Oswalt

The Mets will be calling up RHP Corey Oswalt from Triple-A Las Vegas, reports Matt Ehalt of The Record.

According to Ehalt, Oswalt's pending promotion has nothing to do with Zack Wheeler, who remains on track to start Wednesday in Miami. The Mets will need to make an additional roster move when Wheeler is called up from Triple-A.

Oswalt, 24, had a 2.28 ERA and 1.18 WHIP while striking out 119 batters in 134.1 innings (24 starts) last season for Las Vegas.

He allowed three runs on five hits while walking one and striking out five in 4.
