Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen said RHP Matt Harvey has the potential to be baseball's best pitcher this year, according to the New York Daily News' John Harper.
"He'll build on what he had to learn last year," Warthen told Harper. "He used his change-up and his curve ball a lot because he had to. Now that he has the extra weapons in his arsenal, as well as the knowledge he gained, there's a chance he'll be the best pitcher in baseball."
Harvey, 26, went 13-8 with a 2.71 ERA in his first year removed from Tommy John surgery last season, and went 2-0 with a 3.
