Mets announce Dillon Gee will start on Sunday against Braves

What five-man rotation?

Dillon Gee will become a starter, yet again, as he takes the mound on Sunday afternoon against the Braves. Sandy Alderson claims that they’re now going to a “six-man light rotation” meaning that Gee will be inserted into the rotation whenever he can.

Basically, they’re not going to have Gee pitch every fifth day, but may choose to have him start when they feel that Matt Harvey or any of the other pitchers needs another day to rest.

Gee has started in six games this season, going 0-3 with a 4.
