Mets Afternoon News: Cortisone injections for all

The Mets’ downward spiral continued yesterday, as they were swept in a doubleheader by the Dodgers. In Game 1 the Mets coughed up yet another late-inning lead, spoiling a gem by Tylor Megill, and once again let the game get out of reach in extra innings. In Game 2, the Mets were shut out and held to just three hits in a completely uninspiring effort.

Francisco Lindor hurt his left index finger on a bunt attempt yesterday, but X-rays of the finger were negative.
