The Jerad Eickhoff experience is not over yet, as the Mets have once again signed the right-handed pitcher and will give him the start in their game against the Braves tonight at Citi Field. Eickhoff has been a human revolving door this year, as the Mets signed him to a minor league deal over the offseason and have already designated him for assignment twice only to have him re-sign with the team after electing free agency in both instances.
To make room for Eickhoff on the active roster, the Mets optioned infielder Travis Blankenhorn to Triple-A Syracuse.
