The Mets finally got some good news on the injury front Monday, as the team activated three players from the injured list prior to the start of a nine game road game trip. Rejoining the team in Arizona will be Pete Alonso, who hadn’t played since May 18 due to a right wrist strain, Seth Lugo, fresh off a rehab assignment as he recovered from February elbow surgery for bone chips, and—perhaps most remarkably—Kevin Pillar, reactivated only two weeks after suffering multiple facial fractures after taking a pitch to the face.
To make room for the returning players, the Mets made a number of corresponding roster moves.
