The Mets were busy in the final moments of the trade deadline, landing Toms River native and former Met Todd Frazier along with catcher Robinson Chirinos in separate trades with the Rangers before acquiring reliever Miguel Castro from the Orioles.
While the three new additions were not available last night, they were activated ahead of today’s afternoon series finale in Baltimore. To make room on the roster for them, the club optioned catcher Ali Sanchez along with reliever Franklyn Kilome and yesterday’s starter Ariel Jurado to the alternate site.
