Mets activate David Wright activated for final home stand of 2018

New York Mets third baseman David Wright has been activated from the 60-day disabled list Tuesday afternoon ahead of the team’s final six games of the 2018 season. It has been a long time coming for the Mets’ captain, who hasn’t played a game for the Mets since May 27, 2016 due to a multitude of back, neck, and shoulder injuries as well as dealing with chronic spinal stenosis.

In a corresponding move, the Mets placed reliever Eric Hanhold on the 60-day disabled list with a strained oblique to make room for Wright on active roster.
