The Mets announced that they’ve acquired outfielder Keon Broxton from the Brewers, and they’ve sent pitchers Bobby Wahl and Adam Hill and infielder Felix Valerio to Milwaukee in return.
The 28-year-old Broxton is a right-handed hitter who made his major league debut with the Pirates in 2015 and spent the past three seasons with the Brewers. Thus far in his major league career, Broxton has hit .221/.313/.421 with a 91 OPS+. His best overall season at the plate came in 2016, when he hit nine home runs with a 107 OPS+.
