Mets acquire infielder J.D. Davis and minor league infielder Cody Bohanek from Astros

The Mets continue to be active in the trade market, trading minor league talent for depth and bench pieces. They have acquired two infielders—one at the major league level and one at the minor league level—from the Astros in exchange for Ross Adolph, Luis Santana, and Scott Manea.

J.D. Davis was drafted by the Astros in the third round of the 2014 draft. He had his first taste of big league action last season when he posted a 36 wRC+ in 113 plate appearances. He logged time at both third base and first base.
