Mets 6, Blue Jays 2: Potential no-hitter turns to comeback victory

The Mets offense had chosen a pretty bad time to go ice cold. After struggling to put runs on the board for the past week or so, the bats were dead silent against Bowden Francis in today’s series finale against the Blue Jays—to the point where they entered the ninth inning without a single hit. It certainly looked as though they were on the verge of a series loss to the Blue Jays and an embarrassing display for a team that needs to do everything it can to maintain pace in the wild card race.

But the 2024 Mets have defied the odds time and time again, and today was no exception.
