With a little more than a month left in the 2018 season, today Major League Baseball announced the regular season schedule for the 2019 season. The Mets will open the season on the road against the Washington Nationals on March 28.
The Mets will be facing the AL Central in interleague play throughout the 2019 season, starting with a two game series against the Minnesota Twins at home on April 9 and 10. This is a welcome change for the Mets, who will gladly trade a handful of games against baseball’s best division for a handful of games against one of baseball’s worst divisions.
