The designer girlfriend of Mets legend Art Shamsky has come out swinging in a new $12 million lawsuit against a Long Island manufacturer that she accuses of stealing her idea for baseball-themed canes.
Teresa Taylor, who specializes in flashy health-care products like leopard-print arm slings, had an exclusive license with Major League Baseball to sell canes in the shape of baseball bats.
But the league yanked the contract in October 2014 after she failed to launch the product on time.
Taylor says she couldn’t step up to the plate because her manufacturer — Drive Medical Devices — had repeatedly delayed the rollout.
