Mayor de Blasio to keep bet after Mets Word Series loss

Mayor de Blasio will soon be donning a Royals jersey and belting out an ode to Kansas City.

De Blasio pledged Tuesday to make good on his bet with Kansas City Mayor Sly James after the Mets fell to the Royals in the World Series.

“We will keep our wager. We will keep our commitments to Kansas City, as painful as that is,” he told reporters.

De Blasio had said he would sing the Beatles’ song "Kansas City" while wearing the team’s shirt, and send his counterpart a Junior’s cheesecake.

“There's a song I have to sing again.
