Matz Roughed Up For 7 Runs In Mets’ 10-3 Loss To Marlins

NEW YORK -- Giancarlo Stanton's two-run homer capped a seven-run second inning Monday night for the Miami Marlins, who went on to rout the New York Mets 10-3 at Citi Field.

Adeiny Hechavarria had three RBIs -- via a two-run single in the second and a sacrifice fly in the third -- and J.T. Realmuto had three hits for the Marlins (2-3). Five other players (Dee Gordon, Marcell Ozuna, Christian Yelich, Martin Prado and Chris Johnson) had two hits apiece. Ozuna homered and Realmuto delivered an RBI single for the Marlins' final runs in the sixth.

Left-hander Chris Narveson earned the win with 1 1/3 innings of one-hit ball in relief of starter Jarred Cosart, who couldn't last five innings despite being staked to an 8-0 lead.
