New York Mets rookie LHP Steven Matz lost his second straight start for the first time in his brief career.
He allowed five runs (four earned) and nine hits in six innings during a 5-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.
In a three-run second inning and the Brewers up 1-0, Brewers pitcher Zach Davies dropped down a successful squeeze bunt that scored Scooter Gennett. Matz picked up the bunt, but his poor throw to Kelly Johnson at first base allowed Keon Broxton to score as well.
