SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Matt Harvey looked good — and he looked good.
With a shorter haircut and a more athletic resonance, Harvey had a youthful and robust appearance. Then in his first outing of spring for the Angels, the former Mets righty was not his prime best, but was impressive in three innings against the Rockies.
Harvey, who signed a one-year, $11 million contract with the Angels, was sidetracked early in camp by a glute strain. In his first start since healing, he yielded one run, struck out one, walked one and generally looked like a healthy veteran prepping for a season.
