WASHINGTON - Matt Harvey's next start won't come for at least another 10 days, according to the Mets' tentative plans.
Harvey will be skipped on Monday, with rookie Logan Verrett lined up to take his spot. The righthander likely will return to the mound sometime during the Subway Series, which begins Sept. 18.
Harvey could then be used during a season-ending series against the Nationals -- if the games carry any significance.
General manager Sandy Alderson said all plans remain tentative, pending further consultation with Harvey's surgeon, Dr. James Andrews.
"Everything is a little bit fluid, not just with respect to Matt but to everybody," said Alderson, who also indicated a preference to skip Jacob deGrom, though the righthander has no innings limits.
