Matt Harvey’s ‘bad habits’ already have been discovered

PORT ST. LUCIE — Matt Harvey’s flaws from last season have been clearly visible to the new Mets pitching coach.

“Mechanically, It looks to me like he got into some bad habits simply because he had some injuries,” Dave Eiland said Wednesday. “And he was probably doing something with his lower half to help his upper half, which is his arm, so it looks like he got into some bad habits.”

Harvey missed 2 ¹/u2082 months last season with a stress injury to his right scapula. After returning from the disabled list in early September, he pitched to an 11.
