Matt Harvey was really nervous for his minor league start

The Dark Knight rose for one night.

Matt Harvey turned in a strong performance in his first start for the Athletics’ Triple-A Las Vegas affiliate on Saturday. The former Met, who signed a minor league deal with Oakland last week, allowed just two hits and struck out five over four scoreless innings in the Aviators’ 6-5 victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes.

“I was pretty nervous,” Harvey told 8 News Now, CBS’s affiliate in Las Vegas. “I haven’t been nervous in a while for a game, but I think I texted my dad or somebody and was like, man I’m actually pretty nervous for this.
