CHICAGO — Matt Harvey is still scheduled to pitch a potential Game 5 of the NLCS for the Mets, but there is some concern about the right-hander’s availability.
Manager Terry Collins on Monday described Harvey as “sore and swelled up,” two days after the pitcher was hit by a line drive near the right shoulder in Game 1 of the NLCS.
“The big day will be (Tuesday),” Collins said, referring to Harvey’s scheduled throw day.
If Harvey isn’t deemed fit to pitch a potential Game 5, the start could go to Bartolo Colon, according to Collins.
