Matt Harvey will take the mound at Citi Field tonight for the first time since allowing six runs and 11 hits in just three innings against the Marlins and being booed off the field last July.
The team announced three days later that Harvey had been struggling to pitch with thoracic outlet syndrome, which he said made it difficult for him to feel his hand and grip a baseball.
In an effort to eliminate the condition, Harvey quickly underwent surgery to eliminate pressure being put on nerves and blood vessels between his neck, rib cage and pitching arm.
