Matt Harvey pitched a few innings of a simulated game off the mound at Citi Field on Saturday, reports MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.
According to DiComo, Harvey threw pitches to infielder Matt Reynolds and first base coach Tom Goodwin while pitching coach Dan Warthen observed.
Although Harvey is scheduled to start next series against the Nationals, manager Terry Collins said Harvey's performance in the simulated game could determine whether he pitches Tuesday on his regularly scheduled start or Monday on short rest, according to DiComo.
Harvey is coming off a start where he allowed nine runs (six earned) in a career-low 2 2/3 innings against the Nationals.
