Now across the country in an Angels uniform, the former Dark Knight is grappling with the end of his time with the Mets.
Just about a month shy of his 30th birthday, Harvey has reported to spring training with the Angels, a team he turned down when he was drafted in 2007 out of high school. It follows his years in Flushing where he flashed power but struggled with injuries and often-erratic behavior.
“I was getting to the point that I was just doing more damage to myself and to what I wanted to accomplish,” he told The Athletic.
