Following a disappointing weekend in Anaheim, the Mets rebounded nicely as they played their one-off, squeezed-in game in St. Louis this afternoon and won 6-0. Sean Manaea was excellent, and the Mets’ lineup got on the board with a run in the second inning before putting up a four spot in the fifth to break the game open—and tacked on that sixth and final run in the sixth inning.
Manaea went seven innings, didn’t allow any runs, struck out ten, didn’t walk anyone, and scattered six hits over the course of his start. He only needed 102 pitches to do it, and he’s down to a 3.
