Madison Bumgarner in no mood to talk about leaving Giants

It would seem likely Madison Bumgarner’s future is elsewhere, unless the Giants miraculously turn around their disappointing season.

But for now, the four-time All-Star and three-time World Series champion isn’t thinking about leaving, or potentially making his next home in New York City with the Yankees.

“I’m pretty sure we’re still in the Giants clubhouse and I’m here trying to win games right now for this club,” the 29-year-old southpaw free agent-to-be said after helping manager Bruce Bochy pick up his 1,000th career victory with the Giants. “That’s all I’m concerned about at this point.”

Bumgarner, who does have the Yankees on his no-trade list as The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal has reported, went six innings Tuesday night at Citi Field, allowing six hits and three runs in the Giants’ 9-3, 10-inning win over the Mets.
