The Mets have their new manager.
The team is finalizing a contract with Luis Rojas to be the manager, replacing Carlos Beltran, with whom the club mutually parted ways last week in the wake of Beltran’s role in the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal.
Rojas, 38, was the Mets’ quality control coach last season. He interviewed for the managerial job after Mickey Callaway was fired following the 2019 season.
