The Los Angeles Angels and left-handed reliever Aaron Loup have agreed to a two-year, $17 million contract, the team announced.

He will receive $7.5 million in both the 2022 and '23 seasons.

The deal also includes a $7.5 million team option for the 2024 season. Loup would receive a $2 million buyout if the Angels decline the option.

Loup, 33, was 6-0 with a 0.95 ERA in 56u2154 innings for the New York Mets last season. He is the second former Mets pitcher to join the Angels this offseason after Noah Syndergaard joined the franchise on a one-year contract last week.
