It was another good week in Mets Land. And no, it's not only because Michael Conforto is back, but let's focus on that for a bit.
We have our Scooter back! Conforto made his return to the lineup on Thursday, and he didn't disappoint. Mickey Callaway had made it known before the game that Conforto wanted to face Stephen Strasburg, and to put it simply, Conforto won that battle. In the fifth, Conforto hit a go-ahead two-run homer to left field off of Strasburg.
Yoenis Cespedes predicted this home run before the game, by the way, and took full credit for it postgame.
