A note to those New York Mets players unfamiliar with playoff baseball: You need to be ready for anything.

Case in point: the last time the Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers met in Game 1 of a playoff series, the 2006 National League Division Series at Shea Stadium.

The most notable, unusual and memorable play in that series came in a scoreless game in the second inning, after the Dodgers put the first two men on base.
