Juan Lagares hit a crucial three-run homer and the Met bullpen, which failed Saturday, was brilliant as the Mets came back from a five-run deficit in a 10-8 victory over the Braves Sunday afternoon at Citi Field.
The Mets trailed, 8-3, in the fourth inning as Dillon Gee got rocked early. But their comeback was fueled by unlikely power - in addition to Lagares' homer in the sixth, which turned an 8-7 deficit into a two-run lead, the Mets got longballs from Darrell Ceciliani, Dilson Herrera and Travis d'Arnaud.
