You can say a lot of things about Kevin James, just don’t question his Mets fandom.

The actor quickly ended an asinine debate Friday on WOR between hosts Sal Licata and Pete McCarthy over whether or not James was a legitimate Mets fan. Licata argued James is not as big a supporter as fellow thespian Jim Breuer, who has chronicled his Mets love on social media, and said James only shows up to games when it involves promoting a new movie.

James, who named his daughter Shea after the stadium, somehow found out that this argument was going on — skeptics of the world, insert set-up accusation here — and called the show to rattle off his Mets fan resume, which started as a 4-year-old, and immediately hung up after the rant.
