Advanced analytics have been sweeping through baseball, with newer statistics and research dictating much of the on-field action.
Former Met and current SNY broadcaster Keith Hernandez is from the old school, but is starting to come around on analytics.
"I'm kind of coming around and evolving on analytics," Hernandez said Wednesday during SNY's Shea Anything podcast. "It's a very, very useful tool. But it shouldn't be the Ten Commandments of how you evaluate players."
"But you can glean a lot from them, and I'm starting to come around and changing my attitude."
