Lagares' spectacular catch
More info
Juan Lagares broke back and the ball kept slicing away from him in the wind. Finally, the Mets’ Gold Glove center fielder, racing with his back to home plate, reached high to his left and flagged the ball down in deep center.
“That’s Juan doing Juan things,” said starter Dillon Gee who gave up the seventh-inning shot off the bat of Atlanta’s Jace Peterson in the Mets’ 3-2 win.
“That was the hardest one I made so far,” Lagares said of his circus catch that, if you missed it, head to the TV or Internet and watch it over and over.
