Mets OF Juan Lagares has been activated from the disabled list and will take the recently-traded Jay Bruce's spot on the roster, the team announced Thursday.
Lagares began his rehab assignment with Double-A Binghamton last Tuesday and hit .241 (7-for--29) in eight rehab games .
He has been out since June 15, was working his way back from surgery for a fractured thumb.
Lagares is hitting .269 with two home runs, five doubles, and one triple in 47 games for the Mets this season.
