An attorney for former Mets All-Star shortstop Jose Reyes entered a "not guilty" plea in Maui court Tuesday following the arrest and domestic abuse charges filed against Reyes Oct. 31, according to a TMZ report.
Reyes was not present for the arraignment, according to the report. The Maui County prosecuting attorney, John D. Kim, did not comment further on the case when reached by the Daily News Tuesday.
Reyes, 32, and now a member of the Rockies, was charged on Halloween after Wailea Four Seasons security officials placed a 911 call to report that Reyes' wife, Katherine Ramirez, had suffered injuries to her face, neck and leg.
