Jose Reyes will be working to improve at every infield position this winter so he can be ready for whatever is asked of him in Spring Training, he told reporters Tuesday at Catherine & Count Basie Middle School.
"Wherever the skipper wants to put me, I'm going to be open to doing it," he said. "Whatever is best for the team, like I said, I'm going to be open to doing it."
Reyes said he was asked about playing outfield a bit when he first signed with the Mets last summer, but it hasn't been discussed since.
