While manager Mickey Callaway tries to stay afloat with the Mets, Joe Girardi was at Citi Field on Saturday as a broadcaster for Fox.
The former Yankees manager is still waiting for his phone to ring to get another job in the dugout — and he isn’t opposed to taking over a team midseason.
“Any time,’’ Girardi said before the Mets recorded a rare win, a 6-5 victory over the Phillies. “There are only so many opportunities.”
That call hasn’t come yet.
“I hope to come back at some point,’’ Girardi said. “I haven’t talked to anybody.
