If there was any doubt that Jacob deGrom owned the Cardinals during Thursday's series finale at Citi Field, the team's Wikipedia page made it clear.
By the top of the eighth inning, someone had edited in deGrom's in the place of the one for the real Cardinals owner.
The Mets righthander dominated St. Louis, throwing eight one-hit, shutout innings, and Lucas Duda – who could have been a minority owner – cracked two homers as the Mets beat the Cardinals 5-0.
DeGrom struck out a season-high 11 Cardinals and after giving up a one-out single in the first; he retired the next 23 hitters in a row.
