Last week during the Baseball Winter Meetings, Mets manager Terry Collins told reporters that Noah Syndergaard is clearly the ace of his pitching staff.
"Wow, that's just an awesome feeling," Syndergaard told WOR 710 AM radio earlier this week, when asked about his manager's statement. "I just really enjoy being a part of that rotation."
According to Syndergaard, he and his teammates plan to hit Spring Training focused on attaining the ultimate goal in 2017.
"I don't want to make any promises, but I think a World Series is looking pretty good to us," he said.
