Eight is not such a lucky number for the Mets. Sure, they pulled out a 7-6 win over the Marlins Sunday in front of a rowdy crowd for their eighth straight win, but ace Matt Harvey struggled and the team suffered two huge injuries.
Travis d'Arnaud, who began the season hitting .289, left the game with a fractured hand after being hit by an A.J. Ramos' pitch. In the top of the seventh, left-handed reliever Jerry Blevins, who had retired all 13 lefties he faced this season, suffered a fractured forearm after being pegged by a Dee Gordon line-drive.
