The Mets have to have a contingency plan for the possibility of Yoenis Cespedes not playing at all this year, right?

Yes, and it's already in place. The addition of Keon Broxton, combined with the team's plan to move Jeff McNeil to the outfield, gives the Mets a depth chart of those two, Michael Conforto, Brandon Nimmo and Juan Lagares -- enough to cover themselves in the event of an extended Cespedes absence.
