In case you missed it on Thursday.

The Mets were off on Thursday.

In St. Louis, wth the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, Cardinals C Yadier Molina hit a one-hopper that clearly bounced off a sign above the left-field wall that caromed back on to the field. Instead of ruling it a ground-rule double, which would have kept the score tied, the umpire crew called it fair, the run scored and the game ended.

Reds manager Bryan Price tried to challenge the call, but the umps had already left the field.

Meanwhile in San Francisco, the Giants won 7-2, keeping the Mets' magic number to clinch a Wild Card spot at two wins.
